The Most Rock n Roll Gallery in Cymru

Awen is a not-for-profit artist-led independent gallery based in Llanfyllin (Powys); a charming town in the heart of mid-Cymru which is nestled in the Cain valley on the A490.

Situated in Glasgow House, Narrow street,  Awen present the best from our thriving community of artists and makers, with invited contributions from further afield and a programme of rolling six-weekly exhibitions.

These shows feature the works of invited artists who are both nationally and internationally known.

In addition to this we showcase a range of carefully curated original and archive works, Limited Edition prints, sculpture, hand-crafted musical instruments, ceramics, crafts, small press books and much more.

Awen is also home to On Target Records (link to 'OTR'?) which occupies our back room. This offers a wide range of new and used vinyl, CDs, books and other cultural artefacts for sale directly or via mail order.

Since we began in late 2024 we have always claimed to be “The Most Rock n Roll Gallery in Cymru” - this was questioned and then confirmed by Golwg magazine (link to 'Press'?)
